Team RadXSports
We're starting with three top athlete coaches from New York. We'll be recruiting more, but these three guys are the beginning. You can follow their adventures in every episode of RadXSports and in our ongoing YouTube posts beginning this spring.
Ron Maita, the Carvefather, lightening fast on his snowboard. Ron is 44 years old and a full time contractor. He is leaving all this behind to pursue his dream of being a pro snowboarder. Will he make it, or will be another burnt out snow bum?
Mike Ford had made more bad decisions in his life than the Dirty Dozen put together. He's a great athlete, a shot putter and a veritable bull on the mountain. His sport is skier cross. Can he pull it together to win something next season?
Erik Tompkins is a free style coach who acknowledges no limits or rules. He's gotten into his fair share of trouble, but he can't help himself, he wants to go big in style. The challenge to him is to play by the rules and do what it takes to win by the book.
Three athletes, three challenges. We follow them all summer and through next season to see if they have what it takes to make it as a professional in this most difficult of sports. |
